Types of Inspection Stamps
At Discount Rubber Stamps our inspection stamps come in five main product categories: Pre-Inked, Xstamper, Self-Inking, Metal, and Pencil Cap inspection stamps.
Our pre-inked inspection stamps are manufactured using the flash process. This results in a high quality image and the ability to stamp many times in a row without waiting for the stamp to recover. These are best used on a porous surface such as paper. Pre-inked stamps are re-inkable with pre-inked refill ink.
Xstamper stamps are very durable and can create a readable impression with very small fonts. The only downside to Xstamper is that after they have been stamps 15 to 20 times the stamp needs time to recover. If you stamp 50 times in quick succession, the Xstamper may not be a good choice. These stamps are re-inkable with Xstamper refill ink.
Self-inking inspection stamps are very popular; they offer a low price and the ability to stamp numerous times in succession. These stamps hold less ink than the pre-inked stamps, that is why the pre-inked stamps are priced slightly higher. Self-inking inspection stamps are a very economical option. ExcelMark self-inking stamps include a unique, reversible (two-sided) ink pad that doubles the number of impressions and the useful life of the pad. When the stamps run out of ink, more ink can be added to the stamp or the ink pad can be replaced. Many companies prefer the ease of replacing ink pads vs adding refill ink to a stamp.
Metal stamps feature a sturdy aluminum handle and acid resistant plastic cap. These stamps do not come with ink. They are designed to be used with specialty ink for stamping on non-porous surfaces, circuit boards, or other specialized applications. This product includes a hole in the stamp handle to insert a chain or string for wearing around the neck. Metal inspection stamps are priced lower than our other stamps because ink is not included in the price of the stamp.
Pencil cap stamps are a pre-inked stamp mounted on a special mount that can be attached to the end of a pen or pencil. They are handy for inspection applications when a pencil or pen is nearby and the stamp can be affixed to the pencil or pen. Pencil cap stamps are just another one of the many options we offer.
All of the different inspection stamp types are totally customizable. We can put just about any impression on these stamps. For ease of ordering, we have several pre-fabricated layout for each stamp category. You will find there are different inspection stamp sizes available. You will find there are layouts with borders, without borders, with curved text, and with straight text. You can use these layouts, or provide your own custom layout for your inspection stamps.
